Alcoholism Series: Drinking and driving in Saratoga County
The Saratoga Springs Police Department made 1,139 arrests in 2010. Of those arrested, 438 — nearly 40 percent — were intoxicated at the time of their arrest, according to Chief Christopher Cole. That number doesn’t include those who committed a crime while intoxicated but were not arrested until later.
