Texas Mulls DWI ‘Lite’ Category
Texas is considering passing a law that would create a new category of DWI: DWAI, drinking while ability-impaired. Blood alcohol level is lower than DWI; advocates hope that it will prevent drunk drivers from pleading to a lesser charge that doesn’t mention alcohol.
